It is a neo-classical villa even if the place where it is situated has already been mentioned by Paolo Giovio in his sixteenth-century "Descriptio”.
In 1615 the building, already called "Sucota" belonged to Counts Volpi. As years went by, the building underwent various transformations probably due to Marquis Emilio Canarisi.
Abbé Configliacchi, a scientist and a disciple of Alessandro Volta' s, the inventor of the pile and the discoverer of the methane as well owned the villa in 1818.
In 1846 the "Sucota” was acquired by the Brambilla family from Trieste, who embellished and enlarged the building.
For some decades the viola belonged to the Parodi Delfino Family, today it is the representive seat of the silk factories linked up with the "Chevalier” of Work Antonio Ratti, a close relative of this family's.
