It is a building erected towards the end of the eighteenth century. For some years in the following century this important villa was the Austrian Field-Marshal Count Radetzky's residence.
A bronze plate in the park path recalls the visit paid by the Emperor of Russia Nicholas I to the high officer on 27th October 1845.
Later on, Villa Val Scura belonged to the Milanese Borletti family for many years.
For some time it has been an elegant block of flats.
