The ground where the "Roccabruna" is situated was once part of Villa Pasta.
The singer owned an estate here called the "Roda".
This was demolished in 1904 and the present "Roccabruna" was built on its ruins.
For many years this sumptuous Villa , rich in marbles and statues, belonged to the Wild family, important cotton manufacturers, first with Emilio fond of big-game hunting , then with his son René. At present it is in the hands of an estate agency .
